🎉We are excited to share that Strathclyde Law Clinic will be attending the 12th annual ENCLE and 23rd IJCLE Conference on: Invading the Curriculum: Clinical and Experiential Legal Education in an Era of Sustainability and Impact ⚖️

The conference is taking place on 15-16 June 2026 at the University of Edinburgh Law School!

On the 16th of June, our supervisor Kathleen Bolt will be delivering a workshop alongside our Communications Officer Basmah Hussain, TAP Coordinator Anna Ciliento and Student Advisor Hannah Lawrence, centred around the ethos of our clinic: Students as Partners 👥

We are excited to share this unique aspect of our clinic with various delegates, whilst highlighting experiences which can encourage thoughtful discussion and dialogue on how to incorporate clinical legal education into a more conventional mode of learning 📚

We are also honoured to share the stage with organisations like the King’s Legal Clinic Northumbria University, the LSE Legal Advice Centre alongside many others ⭐️

The Student Director team are delighted to announce that applications for the 2026/27 Executive Committee are now open! 🎉
With exams now finished, this is the perfect time to get involved in the Clinic and gain valuable experience alongside your studies. These roles are open to absolutely everyone in the Clinic — no previous committee experience required! We’re simply looking for enthusiastic people who are keen to learn and get involved 💼✨
Being part of the Exec Committee is a fantastic opportunity to:
⚖️ Gain more Clinic experience
📚 Develop transferable skills
🤝 Get involved in projects and casework
📝 Strengthen your CV for training contracts, vacation schemes, and future opportunities

📣 Applications for Summer Students are now OPEN! 👏⚖️

Each year, the Clinic recruits a small number of students on a part-time paid basis over the summer to help maintain our case load, develop projects, and prepare for the year ahead.

✨ Position details:
📅 Start date: w/c 15 June 2026
⏳ Duration: 10 weeks
💷 Pay: £13.52 per hour
🕒 Hours: 15 hours per week

To apply, you must:
✔️ Have completed a minimum of 2 in-person cases (excluding online cases)
✔️ Be returning to the Strathclyde Law Clinic after summer

📌 Applications close at 5pm on Thursday 14 May 2026
🔎 Interviews will take place w/c 18 May 2026

If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved in the Law Clinic, this is your chance. Being part of the Committee is a great way to build leadership skills, gain valuable experience, and have a real impact on the Clinic’s future.

No prior experience is required, and we strongly encourage applications from our current Student Advisors in all year groups and stages. Don’t be put off by thinking others might be more experienced — everyone brings something valuable to the Committee, and we’d love to hear from you.
