Family life can be busy - and sometimes a little complicated too 🌷

As an independent family lawyer with over 10 years of experience, I know that many people have questions about divorce, separation, co-parenting, or simply understanding their options, but often don’t know where to turn.

I offer a no-obligation, free 60-minute appointment at a time that suits you. Quite often, you may not need to instruct a lawyer at all - sometimes the right information or signposting is all that’s needed. Having volunteered with local charities for over 10 years, I’m well-placed to guide you towards free, reliable resources you can trust.

Of course, there are times when legal advice is essential, and it’s important to recognise when that is. If you’re unsure, get in touch - together we can quickly establish some certainty and help reduce the worry that comes with not knowing.

In emotionally difficult family cases, people often think they need “aggressive” legal advice.

What most clients actually need is:

🌸clarity
🌸strategy
🌸reassurance
🌸practical solutions
🌸someone who genuinely listens

Strong representation doesn’t always have to be confrontational.

If you’re unsure where to start, I offer a free 60-minute discovery call to talk things through. 🌷

Family law is never just about paperwork.

Behind every case is a person trying to protect their children, rebuild stability, or move forward after a difficult chapter.

What matters most to me is helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered during what is often one of the most emotional periods of their lives.

If you’re unsure about your next step, you’re very welcome to book a free discovery call 🌷

DIVORCE MYTH: “Everything is always split 50/50.”

REALITY: Financial settlements following divorce are rarely as straightforward as people assume. Every family has its own circumstances, priorities, and challenges, which means there is no single formula that applies to everyone.

When resolving financial matters, careful consideration is given to the wider picture, including the needs of any children, each person’s financial position both now and in the future, the lifestyle established during the relationship, housing needs, pensions, and the overall circumstances of the marriage.

What may be appropriate in one case could be entirely unsuitable in another. That is why tailored legal advice and a clear understanding of your individual situation are so important when navigating separation and financial arrangements.

What happens in the first 60 minutes of speaking to a family lawyer?

Reaching out to a family lawyer for the first time can feel overwhelming. I completely understand that.

So here’s what actually happens in your first 60-minute call with me:

We talk. You tell me what’s going on, in your own words. I listen, ask questions where needed, and help you understand your options clearly and calmly.

Throughout the appointment, I may signpost you to free, trusted resources or other relevant family law experts and organisations, such as Cafcass where children’s arrangements are involved.

If I do not think you need to instruct solicitors, I will tell you. Equally, if I think you would benefit from legal representation or guidance - for example, during mediation or when negotiating a financial settlement - I will tell you that too.

Whatever we discuss, and whatever guidance or information I offer, there is no judgement and no pressure. Just support, reassurance and practical guidance when things feel uncertain.

If you’re unsure about your next step, you’re very welcome to book a free discovery call 🌷

I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve had a chance to read it. 🌷
