………that marriage revokes a will? ✨
If this happens, the law would then decide what happens to your estate, as you would die ‘intestate’.
To avoid this, you could make a will ‘in contemplation’ of marriage, or remake your will after you’re married.
Divorce doesn’t revoke a will, but the divorced spouse would effectively be removed from your will as a beneficiary, executor and trustee. If you’ve left everything to them, again you would die intestate.
