On Thursday, 24th April, at 5.15 pm, TayPer's student members will host an event to help students through their pre-exam/assignment stress. This will be an opportunity to have an OSCOLA refresher with Abertay's resident expert, Prof. Nicholas Gries, and to hear the study tips that best helped our 4th years through their exams.

Most importantly, we hope to help you navigate the stress of exams. Whether this is your first year or last, our members will be available to answer your questions and lend their support!

Hello everyone, the Tayper Law project has some exciting news! Next week:

We will be hosting a Panel event discussing sexual violence towards women and the laws that protect them, focussing on those currently at university and the laws that protect them on campus. We will be considering the laws on sexual violence as well as the resources which are in place to help people going through this.

We will be joined by special guest Dr Michelle Weldon-Johns, who will speak on the current Employment Rights Bill and its' new laws on sexual violence.

The event will last for roughly 45 minutes, with time after to ask any questions!

Last Night, TayPer and Dundee’s new Pro Bono Society collaborated on a panel discussing the benefits of pro bono on a community. Following the exciting themes of this year's Scottish Pro Bono Week. We were joined by a great team of people, including our own Lindsay McCormick and Ben Lawrence, as well as Matthew Bruce, Susie Brown, Rebecca Samaras and Robin Beattie. Thank you to our hosts for the evening Miles Hailstones and Prakriti Bhatta

Thank you to everyone who attended. It is a pleasure to invite speakers to our events. Making sure we have an engaged audience makes their travel all worth it!

"A Tale of Two Universities: The Power of Partnerships - Dundee Students Join Forces for Pro Bono"

This panel event brings together staff, students and alumni from the two Dundee Universities - Abertay (Tayper Law Project) and Dundee ( Pro Bono Society and Dundee Law Clinic) - to discuss the benefits of Pro Bono on our local community. We are excited to invite anyone who would like to attend and hear from our Panel of leaders in this exciting area!

Hello, as per our previous post, TayPer is happy to open its doors to new members for the 2024/25 year. We are hosting our Prospective Members Evening on Monday 30th, September at 6 pm (room 1004, Abertay Law Building), and we invite everyone interested in the group to attend. We will discuss what membership in the group will look like, personal and community benefits & you will hear from past members on how TayPer has benefited them in their legal careers. There will also be pizza and refreshments available for all in attendance!

TayPer is hosting our Prospective Members Evening on Mon 25th Sept at 6 pm!

This evening will be a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into what a position in the first student-led pro-bono law project in the local area would look like. This event will be hosted by our Deputy-Student Director, Ben Lawrence, who will happily answer any questions surrounding our work in the local community & your applications.
