💙 Charity of the Year – Have Your Say! 💙

Following our AGM, we’d love to hear from our members about whether we should continue supporting the Carr Fenton Foundation as our Charity of the Year for another year.

Carr Fenton has been our chosen charity for the past two years, and we’ve been proud to support the fantastic work they do across our local community.

Do you think we should stick with Carr Fenton for another year, or would you like to see us support a different charity? Let us know using our poll! 👇

World Su***de Prevention Day 💛

Today, the Doncaster Junior Lawyers Division stands together to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that asking for help is a sign of strength. 💬

The legal profession can be demanding ⚖️, and behind every case, deadline, and responsibility is a person. Let’s look out for one another, listen without judgment, and make sure no one feels they have to struggle alone. 🤝💛

💛 Reach out. Listen. Support.

🦁 JLD NORTH - WHAT A NIGHT! 🦁

Last week, we were incredibly proud to host the first JLD North collaboration event at Yorkshire Wildlife Park - bringing together more than 100 junior lawyers from across the North and beyond.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and particularly to our friends and colleagues from Sheffield & District JLD, Leeds Junior Lawyers Division, Derby Junior Lawyers and York JLD 💙

The whole purpose of JLD North is simple: to bring our regions together, build stronger connections between junior lawyers and create opportunities that extend beyond the boundaries of our individual JLDs.

And what better way to start than with a BBQ followed by feeding the lions at Yorkshire Wildlife Park?! 🦁

Even the Yorkshire weather couldn’t spoil it! 🌧️

Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without support, so we want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors, Sett Mortgages (Elliott Benson) and CRA Consulting (Ross Roberts) for backing the event and helping us make it happen.

We’d also like to thank the brilliant team at Yorkshire Wildlife Park Ltd for hosting us and helping us deliver such a memorable evening.

Finally, thank you to every committee member, volunteer and attendee who supported the event. Seeing more than 100 junior lawyers come together for our first collaboration showed us just how much appetite there is for something like this across the region.

This was the first JLD North event - but it certainly won’t be the last 👏🏼

The North has an incredible junior legal community, and we’re only just getting started 👀
