We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Toni Bulley as our new Head of Business Operations.

Toni joins Flint Bishop with extensive senior leadership experience across business operations, governance, compliance and organisational development, including recent roles within the legal sector.

As a member of our Executive Team, Toni will play a key role in strengthening the infrastructure, processes and ways of working that underpin the firm. Her remit will span administrative and client services, facilities and workplace management, procurement, governance, risk and business continuity.

We’re delighted to announce that David Whitaker, Partner & Head of Ecclesiastical at Flint Bishop, has been appointed as the next Registrar for the Diocese of Coventry.

David will take up the role on 12 January 2027, succeeding the current Registrar, Geoffrey Cotterill.

Already Registrar for the Diocese of Leeds, David has many years’ experience advising parishes, dioceses and clergy on a wide range of ecclesiastical matters, including property, faculty procedures, safeguarding, the ordination and licensing of clergy, pastoral reorganisation, and providing guidance to PCCs and churchwardens.

The appointment is another significant recognition of David’s specialist expertise and the strength of our Ecclesiastical team. It also further extends Flint Bishop’s work supporting dioceses and church bodies across England, with the firm currently providing registry and other legal services to organisations including the Dioceses of Leeds, York, Sheffield, Derby and Sodor & Man, as well as the Church Commissioners for England.

We’re proud to announce that Property Litigation Partner James Parden has been appointed President of the Sheffield & District Law Society.

The appointment is fantastic recognition of James’ commitment to Sheffield and its legal community, as he begins a year-long term representing solicitors across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield and the surrounding area.

As Flint Bishop continues to grow its presence in Sheffield, we’re particularly proud to see one of our partners taking such a prominent role in supporting the region’s legal profession and helping to strengthen engagement across the local legal community.
