We have some exciting news which we have been working on behind the scenes for several months 🤗 As some of you may know there are proposals for our offices is Fleming House, Cumbernauld to be demolished to make way for the regeneration of the town centre and surrounding area. We have been in Fleming House for over 30 years and it will be a big change to all 😥

We have now secured alternative premises and from Wednesday 2nd March 2022 we will be operating from the newly built Muirfield Business Centre, Offices 3 & 4, South Muirfield Road, Cumbernauld, G67 1AX. This building is located next to Cumbernauld Police Station. (Picture 1)

We have always had a smaller office outside The Thistle Centre in Stirling and we have now secured bigger premises there too. These will be located at Pavillion 1, Castlecraig Business Park, Player Road, Stirling, FK7 7SH. This is located next to Lidl and Aldi. (Picture 2)

LEGAL CASHIER

The Role You will work as the Primary Cashier in the firm to assist the Cashroom Partner in carrying out tasks to help provide an efficient and effective service to the firm’s clients, partners and staff. Key Responsibilities • Processing client & firm postings • Raising payments, cheques & electronically • Banking of client/firm cheques • Processing deposit account transactions, (uplifts, lodgements, closures & new accounts) • Allocating payments to fees • Processing balance reports • Reconciliation of client balances/deposit accounts • Assist with cover for any other departmental tasks as and when required • Working with Bank IT systems • Be aware of the firm’s data protection and security policies Skills and Experience • Experience working within a busy firm • Strong knowledge of Law Society of Scotland Account Rules, anti-money laundering rules and VAT procedures • Possess a good knowledge of all relevant IT applications. • A sound understanding of postings made to the firm and client ledgers, including an appreciation • of the importance of proper and accessible backup being held for all postings • Provide high-quality service to clients at all times • Adopts a flexible and proactive approach to work duties • Excellent numerical skills • Able to work effectively as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Able to organise and prioritise time effectively to achieve deadlines • Possess a high level of attention to detail, and ensure all controls are properly followed • Good communication skills, both verbal and written This is a great opportunity to join a professional firm that rewards hard work and has prospects of future career progression for the right candidate.
