This October, we’re proud to once again be supporting Isabel Hospice as part of Make a Will Month.

Throughout October, instead of paying our usual fee for a basic single or mirror Will, we’re inviting clients to make a suggested donation directly to Isabel Hospice.

It’s a chance to put an important Will in place while supporting a local charity that provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people and families across our community.

It costs £7,518 to run the Isabel Hospice Inpatient Unit for just 24 hours, so every donation really does make a difference.

Appointments are limited and must take place during October.

Can you simply give money or assets away to reduce Inheritance Tax?

Gifting can form part of estate planning, but the rules aren't as straightforward as simply transferring assets to family.

We’re looking forward to spending an afternoon with the residents, families and wider community at Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing Home in Welwyn Garden City next week.

Anvoner Law will be joining the team on Thursday 24 September for a friendly, informal talk about Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Are Trusts only for the very wealthy?

It's a common misconception.

Trusts can be used for many different reasons and aren't simply about the size of someone's estate.
They can form part of planning for children, vulnerable beneficiaries, family circumstances or the way particular assets should be managed.
