Firstly, welcome to our community, quick intro; my name is Patrick, I’m a Director of Red Brick Sales & Letting, an independently owned letting agency based in Coventry & Warwickshire. After being a landlord myself I moved into estate agency. 20 years later we are now portfolio landlords and run an award wining agency. We are all passionate about the Property Industry, in particular about the Private Rented Sector (PRS). Our goal is to create a forum where Landlords can discuss current issues affecting the industry and ask questions about things that are grey, because let’s be honest, it’s far from Black and White, legislation is forever changing and peoples interpretation can be very grey at times. 📣 LANDLORD REMINDER: MAKING TAX DIGITAL

📅 7 November 2026 is the deadline for the second quarterly update for landlords and sole traders already using Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.

🏠 Not using MTD yet? You could be joining next April.

From 6 April 2027, the rules extend to those with combined qualifying gross income from property and self-employment over £30,000, subject to exemptions.

💷 That means income before expenses—not your profit.
