Common UK Visitor Visa Refusal Reasons-2023
The most common reasons for refusal of a visitor visa application is that the ECO is not satisfied that the applicant would leave the UK if granted entry as a visitor because:
• The applicant has weak financial ties to the country of origin,
including not having a job, business or assets which generate a regular income;
• The applicant has weak family ties to the country or origin;
• The applicant's evidence submitted supporting the application does not a true reflection of his claimed circumstances.
Large deposits:
• In the UK Visitor Visa, the applicants submit their bank account statements as proof of their financial situation. The bank deposits in the bank statements are not explained in the application, and therefore, ECO is not satisfied that the financial circumstances of the applicant are as claimed in the application.
• Many times, these bank statements reflect large deposits.
• Applicants usually fail to explain the source of these deposits in their cover letter and often get refused
Documents not submitted:
• Another reason for UK Visitor Visa Rejection is that people often fail to submit ALL their supporting documents
• Some fail to submit bank statements, some fail to submit their relationship documents, etc
• So, at the time of your application, pay most attention to what all documents you are including and what documents you are submitting
Non-disclosure of previous issues:
• Often, applicants have had previous immigration or legal issues that they decide not to disclose, such as bans or certain criminal convictions already spent — especially if a long time has passed
• But the UK Home Office misses nothing and questions everything
What to do if a UK visit visa is refused?
• If your UK visitor visa is refused, you can reapply for a visitor visa, this time providing detailed information and evidence in support of each and every eligibility and suitability requirement and addressing all the previous reasons for refusal.
You can challenge the refusal of your UK visitor visa application by way of Pre-action Protocol (PAP) and Judicial Review (JR) if your visitor visa has been refused wrongly and unlawfully. The refusal rate is very high in UK visitor visa applications.
