Congratulations to all the team Buckshaw Festival for creating an amazing event for the second year running and the weather was also good to you 😎🌞👏🏻🎉
THANKYOU BUCKSHAW 🙌🏼 🎶
What.a.day 🙈😁🤩 We’re absolutely thrilled to have created an event that topped last years debut…something we could never be sure of, or take for granted ✨
As most of you will know, our core team is only small but yesterday showed us something we’ve known all along - ‘it takes a village’ 🧡 We are beyond grateful for the huge amount of support we’ve had over the last 6 months to make Buckshaw Festival possible, so brace yourselves because this list is long 🙈
We’d like to thank…
• The incredible businesses who took on our sponsorship packages this year & gave us the crucial funding support we needed to make the day possible: Alfa Holidays, Gin & Beer It _ Mobile Bar, Amber River True Bearing & Marvel at Everything
• Additional generous financial support from a combination of our local councillors: Cllr Dedrah Moss BW & Cllr Russ Green BW at Chorley Council, Wesley C Roberts & Pete PilLinger at SRBC, Aidy Riggott BV at Lancashire CC and Euxton Council. It’s great to see funds being put back into our community for events like ours 🧡
• RMG for allowing us use of the Hub field & community centre, The Hub at Buckshaw for kindly giving up their car park on the day for our small business stalls, and Trinity Primary School for the use of their entire outdoor space, enabling us to significantly increase the size of our entire festival 🙌🏼
• All the incredible performers, bands, singers & dance groups, who brought all THREE of our stages to life! 🤩🎤 & of course Bowkers Transport for providing the outdoor stages and Paul K Sound & Vision and CDS Events for all things technical 🔌
• Every entertainment provider for bringing their A-game with heaps of fun for all ages 🎪⛳️
• Every single one of our small business & charity stalls, the amazing variety of handmade products was incredible to see. We know the hours that each of you put in to bring such an incredible show of products to each of your stalls & they all looked fantastic! 🤩
• The delicious food & drink vendors, all of whom were non-stop all day but kept their cool in the chaos! 🍕🍺
• All of the businesses who generously donated prizes to our raffle & Buckshaw Tesco who saved the day with an incredible donation of tombola prizes 🏆
• To our ‘fabulous 4’ security staff for keeping an eye on things across the whole site throughout the day so you could all enjoy the event safely 🙌🏼
• Our incredible photographer David Airey who covered some serious miles all day, snapping away the action & capturing our great community spirit 📸 & to Matt B who provided his services for something special we’ll be sharing with you all very soon! 👀🤭
• Volunteers. There isn’t enough emphasis we can put on how invaluable your time & efforts have been. It’s something we’re incredibly grateful for & is truely appreciated 🧡 All the individuals who manned our refreshment stalls, carried out litter picking duties, checked portaloos & all the jobs in between. A special mention to Harvester & Buckshaw Village Church for the strength in numbers both contributed!
• St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire - our chosen charity for this year, for bringing all the glitter & fun on the day. The figures are still being finalised but we can’t wait to calculate the total raised! 🤩
& finally, if you’ve made it this far….
YOU. Every single one of you that attended. For coming out in your thousands to enjoy and soak up all the things mentioned above. For the feedback, the laughter & the general good vibes 😎☀️ To look around the area this morning, you wouldn’t even know it had happened. No litter, no damage, just our beautiful village with a little extra glow to it 🥰🧡
Should we keep Sunday 27th June free next year…? 👀🤭
