Lots of quality business referred to me from my chapter and others.

One of the things we love about BNI is the power of collaboration.

Yes, you join a chapter. You get to know the people in that room, build relationships, understand their businesses and learn who you can confidently refer work to.

But your network doesn’t stop at the door.

There are other chapters across the North East, across the UK and much further afield, full of people doing exactly the same thing.

And that’s where it gets really powerful.

If someone in our chapter needs a service we don’t have in the room, chances are we know a trusted professional in another chapter who can help. We make introductions. We share contacts. We visit each other’s groups. We collaborate.

Because networking, like most things in life, works better when you work WITH people rather than seeing everyone as competition.

Two people. Two different BNI chapters. One much bigger network.

And a reminder that sometimes the most valuable person in your network isn’t the person who can help you. It’s the person who knows the person who can 👊🏼👊🏼

A bit more info regarding our session alongside Rare Dementia Support next week in Billericay, Essex:

We will be joined by Phil, who is a former healthcare professional, and is now diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. If you aren't aware of LBD but think you have heard of it, it is the same condition that comedian and actor Robin Williams was diagnosed with.

For this event, Phil will tell his story. How he came to be diagnosed, his experience and how things have been since. We are also joined by staff from 'Rare Dementia Support' who will be talking about the work they do supporting people with LBD, and someone who has used the service before with a family member who will talk about their experience.

As well as this, Parkinson's UK, The Alzheimer's Society, and The Inclusive Dementia Community Network will have information stands and staff on hand to chat to attendees and this will include our Parkinson's Local Adviser.

The event is completely free, parking is available on site and this is a chance to learn more about LBD and other forms of dementia so that all involved can continue to raise awareness, and provide support for those affected, be they individuals, family's or carer's.

If you live with LBD or any form of dementia, live with someone who does, are a medical professional or student, a care worker or anyone with interest in the dementia, feel free to join us on the day and help us raise awareness of this matter.

Get support to pass the driving theory test with The Write Turn this September.

Our Employment and Skills Team will help prepare you for the driver's theory test and improve your confidence with digital skills too.

Plus Karbon Homes customers will be provided with a free provisional license and theory test.

The course will take place at our Stanley Skills Hub this September.

Spaces are limited with priority for Karbon Homes customers.
