After a busy week in the office, it was great to be invited to celebrate with Law last night.
Law Clinic provides 30 minute free, confidential advice with our great solicitors and local law firms meaning that every client can have the opportunity to access justice.

So much has happened in the last few months with .
We've been getting more and more enquires each week, adding in appointments and giving out more advice than ever.
Starting this off with being grateful, to all the team at Citizens Advice, our legal partners and all of our clients from the past year.

Final message from Alex:
I have just finished my last volunteer shift at the Clinic as the Coordinator. I was really pleased as we managed to reach 100 appointments today which totals 50 hours of legal advice. At £200 an hour, that would be £10,000 that has been saved by the community. There is the potential and the demand for so much more and I look forward to seeing it grow.
Over the course of the last few months, I've met some amazing people, heard inspiring stories and have been overwhelmed by the support by the local legal community towards helping the those in need. This couldn't have been done without the solicitors and firms that have been willing to volunteer their time.
While I won't be volunteering and managing the Clinic any longer as I have started a new job, it's been an incredible journey. I'll definitely be dropping by to see how it is all doing.
Citizens Advice Chelmsford will be responsible for the Clinic moving forwards and I look forward to seeing it grow.

As a final update, we have had a number of requests for help with parking tickets. I would recommend that people have a look at this tool: https://www.donotpay.com/parking/
It can help walk through the various legalities behind challenging a parking ticket as well as the general procedures that need to be followed. Of course, do feel free to contact Citizens Advice for more help if needed.

In the next few weeks, we should also reach an important milestone: 50 hours of free legal advice. If a solicitor would charge £200 per hour, we are looking at a potential saving of £10,000. I'm very humbled by the many solicitors and legal volunteers and Citizens Advice Chelmsford who have helped make this possible.

It has been a while since our last update! Things have certainly been busy! We are running regular family, employment and housing sessions now and we have recently piloted immigration and personal injury sessions!

Things have been very busy with the Clinic recently! New solicitors and firms have agreed to get involved which will expand our rota and services. We can now offer family, immigration, employment and personal injury/clinical negligence appointments. More to follow!

It is 'Free Wills Month' this month, a charitable drive to help raise money for a variety of good causes as well as enabling you to create a free will! Visit https://freewillsmonth.org.uk to see what solicitors and law firms are taking part and how to contact them!

Free Wills Month brings together a group of well respected charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations around England and Wales.
