Our colleagues are making a real difference in the communities we serve 💙

This year, our colleagues have raised an incredible £2,104 through two sponsored fundraising walks. With Castles & Coasts matching the total pound for pound, £4,208 will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

That means colleagues have now helped raise more than £19,000 for the air ambulance since we became a corporate charity partner.. 🙌

But the support doesn't stop there.

Colleagues also volunteered their time and skills to help improve Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland retail facilities in Penrith, carrying out joinery, plumbing and electrical work to create a more welcoming space for staff, volunteers and customers.

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part, donated, volunteered or supported our fundraising efforts this year.

🏡 Three of our Independent Living communities have been given a fresh look with new flooring in their communal areas.

New flooring has been installed at Cragside Court, Hadleigh Court and Wadham Court, with 93% of residents telling us they are satisfied with the results and 89% rating the flooring as good or excellent.

Residents also praised the professionalism of our contractors throughout the work. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback and supported the project.

Our Residents' Voice and Annual Report 2025/26 is now available!

We've published our latest Residents' Voice and Annual Report, sharing how we've performed over the past year and how resident feedback is helping shape our services.

Key highlights include: £1.94 million additional income secured for residents, 18,965 repairs completed, 402 new tenancies started and more than 1,000 compliments received.

We're pleased to see continued improvements in resident satisfaction, but we also know there is always more to do. Your feedback helps us understand what's working well and where we need to improve.

Membership gives us access to expert insight, research and good practice that will help us better understand what's important to our residents and continue improving the services we provide.

Your feedback is helping us improve 👏

We're pleased to share that our latest Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) from April to June 2026 continue to show positive results, with resident satisfaction remaining above average across all the measures.

But what matters most is what we're doing with the feedback you share.

Over the last few months we've:

✅ Increased the size of our repairs and customer service teams to provide more support

✅ Introduced C.A.R.E. (Check, Ask, Respect, Empower) training for all resident facing colleagues to help us better understand and respond to individual customer needs and preferences

✅ Used resident feedback and data to identify areas where anti-social behaviour is having the greatest impact on our communities, helping us target support where it's needed most

We're committed to listening, learning and making improvements that help us deliver better services for our residents.
