Giving back to our local community is something we're passionate about here at Southerns.

Recently, members of our team and their families took part in the Derian House Colour Run in Chorley, raising £190 for an incredible cause. It was a fantastic day filled with plenty of colour, laughter and team spirit as we tackled the 1.5km course together.

Derian House Children's Hospice provides vital care and support to more than 400 babies, children and young people across the North West, as well as their families. Their services are provided free of charge, making fundraising events like this so important to help them continue their remarkable work.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and supported the event. We're proud to have played a small part in helping such an inspiring charity, and judging by the smiles (and the amount of coloured paint!), we think this might become an annual tradition for the team. 💛🧡💚💙💜❤️

A little bit of trivia, a lot of team spirit and a fantastic cause behind it all.

Yesterday afternoon some of the team took some time out to take part in a Summer Quiz and Networking event, hosted at Penny Black in Burnley.

Our Quiz team ‘The Jury’s Out!’ absolutely smashed the quiz taking on 1st PLACE mixing our knowledge of Sports and Music, not to mention we gave it our all on the ‘East Lancashire’ knowledge round. 🏆

It was great to see so many businesses getting involved but most importantly, the event helped raise valuable funds for , our Charity of the Year for 2026. Supporting the incredible work they do for patients and families across our local community is something we’re very proud to be part of.

A big thank you to Ben Duckworth for organising such a brilliant event, and well done to all the teams who took part, coming together to raise money for Pendleside Hospice.
