Don't forget that TOMORROW Saturday 18th November is Burnley's magical Christmas Light Switch, 'Burnley Believes'. 🎄 ❄️

Everything kicks off at 11am when visitors will be able to play free Crazy Golf on Curzon Street, and from 12pm a range of seasonal characters will be entertaining the crowds. Look out for Anna and Elsa from Frozen, cheeky elves and even a Polar Bear!

Choirs and the Burnley Alliance Silver Band will be on hand to provide yuletide music throughout the day too, before the stage show on St James’s Street gets into full swing in the afternoon.

Music, dance, pantomime, and The Grinch will ensure Christmas cheer, before the magical lantern parade – led by Batala Lancaster – winds its way around the town centre from 4pm, with Santa Claus and his cheeky elf joining in.

The day then draws to a spellbinding finale at 5pm when the countdown to the lights switch-on begins and the snow cannons are fired.

But it’s not just in the town centre where you’ll find an event taking place, as Burnley FC are also hosting a World Record Food Donation attempt. With a whole host of activities taking place in the fan zone, it’s set to be a fantastic event for a great cause.

⬜ Step 1: Choose one of our participating solicitors.

⬜ Step 2: Get everything ready. List your assets (property, possessions and money) along with the people and charities you’d like to remember and support in your Will.

⬜ Step 3: Write or amend your Will – with your chosen solicitor.

⬜ Step 4: Make a donation to Pendleside Hospice – in lieu of the Will writer’s usual fee, a suggested donation is £150 for a single Will and £250 for a double Will.

Proud to be a part of this upcoming weekends event. Promises to be a scorcher too! ☀️

Burnley is getting revved up for this year’s Vintage & Performance Car Show, which takes place in the town centre on Saturday 9th September. 🚗 📅

Classic cars and vehicles from yesteryear are set to line St James’s Street all the way down to Curzon Street. 📍

The day is not just for car enthusiasts though, as there are a range of other activities planned too. 👀

A brass band will provide a musical backdrop, and there’s even a car-themed trail – featuring a prize for every participant – which is perfect for any detectives out there. 🎺 🔎

Running from 11:00-16:00, the event is being organised by Burnley Business Improvement District (BID) with support from The Rotary Club of Burnley, and is set to build on the success of last year’s event, when people from all over Lancashire descended on the town to check out the various vehicles on display. 🤩

Making a Will is very important as it makes sure the things you leave behind go to the people and causes you care about. During October you’ll be able to update or write a Will with a participating local solicitor who’ll waive their normal fee in return for a donation to Pendleside Hospice.

Making a Will is not something we like to think about but, once it’s done, it gives you peace of mind knowing that your family, friends and causes close to your heart are looked after in the way that you want.

Ideally suited to a school leaver with excellent keyboard skills you will be expected to link up with Burnley College to undertake courses to lead through to NVQ qualification at level 3 in Business Administration.

This will be set up under the current Apprenticeship scheme and managed between ourselves and the College. Time is set aside for both "on the job" training and study time to ensure that maximum opportunity is available to ensure success both academic and personal

We are currently seeking to strengthen our Reception Team at our head office in Burnley.

The position is full time and involves both front facing work - attending to visitors to the office, managing meeting room appointments - and dealing with telephone calls through our switchboard.

The role also includes dealing with local administration - maintaining document registers and managing access to our storage systems.

Familiarity with the Office suite of computer software and an ability to adapt to our back office systems would be an advantage .
