Budget day is 28 October. Here's what we know so far 📊
Chancellor John Healey has confirmed the Autumn Budget for 28 October 2026. For businesses, that means a few weeks to get your house in order before any new announcements take effect.
What's already confirmed going into Budget day: dividend tax rose to 10.75% from April 2026, affecting directors drawing income through dividends. Employer NI is higher. The government has signalled further changes for businesses, though the detail remains to be seen.
Reacting to speculation before 28 October isn't a useful planning approach. Making sure your finance function is in good shape before the announcements land absolutely is.
