FURLOUGH COMING TO AN END

As we have all been through a very trying time, our financial risks have been eased by the Furlough or Job Retention scheme.

This scheme has helped many businesses navigate these trying times.

As you may be aware, furlough will be completely tapered out in September 2021, this means the top-up given by the government will come to an end and employers will be expected to pay their employees.

This may be the time that your small business will be in serious financial difficulty.

Wow, it’s our 8th birthday at Hawkins Insolvency !

I honestly don’t know where the time has gone.

The team and I would like to wish all those getting their A Level results this week GOOD LUCK.

As I say every year, there is more than one route to most professions. So don’t despair if you don’t get the grades you want. Little known fact, I do not have a single GCSE or A Level to my name and I did ok.

This year has been hard on you, with online learning, lack of peer support and friendship networks, coupled with the stress of a global pandemic. You’ve done so well, just to get this far.

So, celebrate any losses as well as any gains, just going through the A Level process will have taught you so many skills that you won’t even be aware of yet.

If there is no door to where you want to be, make one, carve out your path. If there is a closed door, open it. If the door is cracked open, kick it open.

Always remember those who helped you on the way up and GOOD LUCK 👌🏻💥🎉

The Bounce Back Loan scheme will help small and medium-sized businesses to borrow between £2,000 and £50,000.

The government will guarantee 100% of the loan and there won’t be any fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months.

Loan terms will be up to 6 years. No repayments will be due during the first 12 months. The government will work with lenders to agree a low rate of interest for the remaining period of the loan.

The scheme will be delivered through a network of accredited lenders.

This scheme will help small and medium-sized businesses affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) to apply for loans of up to £50,000.
