What a fantastic way to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend. The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra brought music to communities across the West Midlands, with some brilliant performances attracting audiences from across the area.

Can a child who has been granted humanitarian protection in the UK still be ordered by the Family Court to return abroad?

This was the unusual and important legal question considered by the High Court in a recent case in which our Director and Head of Child Care, Patrick Sheedy, represented the father.

The court concluded that humanitarian protection does not automatically prevent a return order being made, providing important guidance where international children law and immigration status overlap.
