Mythbusting is here to squash some legal myths! 🕵️

This is a MYTH!🦄

When contesting a Will, strict time limits do apply to certain claims. An example of this is claiming for financial provision. If you're a dependent, spouse or child and you claim that the Will has failed to make reasonable financial provisions for you, you only have a strict 6-month time limit from the date the Grant of Probate is issued.

However, when you challenge the validity of a Will for any reasonable reason, there is no strict time limit but waiting too long is dangerous and can invalidate your claim.🧑‍⚖️

After Studying both his Law degree and Masters in Law combined with the LPC at Swansea University, Jack joined GloverPriest in late 2020 and gained a wide variety of experience across the firm, including in our New Business Sales team.

Jack qualified as a Solicitor through a training contract with GloverPriest and now specialises in Commercial Conveyancing Law, most recently in his career being made Head of the Commercial Department.
