It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mr Sukhdev Bhomra.
Mr Bhomra was a highly respected lawyer and a familiar figure within the legal community. For many of us at Murria Solicitors, however, he was much more than a fellow professional. He was a friend, a colleague and a genuinely wonderful person whose company was always enjoyed.
Our Senior Partners shared a longstanding friendship with him that stretched back many years, from their days studying law together, through countless appearances in court, and on many cases where they worked together in the interests of their clients. His professionalism, knowledge and integrity earned him the respect of all who knew him, but it was his warmth, humour and character that made him so special.
Whether at court, a charity event, a professional gathering or a Christmas celebration, Mr Bhomra was always someone whose presence brought people together. He had a remarkable ability to build lasting friendships across the profession and was held in the highest regard by colleagues throughout the legal fraternity.
The city has lost an outstanding lawyer, but more importantly, it has lost a truly exceptional gentleman.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mr Bhomra's family, friends, colleagues and all those whose lives he touched.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
