The response from the community was very positive, and it was encouraging to see such strong engagement throughout the ward.

📢 *EID AL-ADHA 2026 WILL BE HELD IN THE PARK* 📢

Eid Al Adha will be celebrated on *Wednesday the 27th May 2026*.

Prayer Time:

• Arrival: *8:15am* onwards
• Eid Prayer (Salah): *9:00am* sharp

Please pay attention to the following instructions:

🕕Please arrive early as we will start at 9am sharp and will not be able to wait for latecomers.

🪑Please bring your own *prayer mats* and *plastic sheet* to put underneath, chairs, and water bottles for wudu

👣 Please try to walk to the park or car share, if you have to travel by car.

🅿️ Please *do not* park inconsiderately. Parking at Morrisons, Small Heath, is free. Do not park on double yellow lines or block residents' driveways and footpaths.

🚫 Please *do not* leave children unsupervised. Children are encouraged to come to the park as long as they are supervised by their parents and come to participate in prayers.

🚯 Please *do not* litter. Remember that cleanliness is half of faith. Use the park bins or take your rubbish home.

Following the elections, I have now returned to work and restarted my free Small Heath Community Surgery.

Today, four residents from Small Heath attended my office seeking assistance with various issues.

A resident from Waverley Road had been waiting for a Disabled Bay Parking marking for the past nine months. After speaking with the council and identifying the problem, I was able to help resolve the matter successfully.

A resident from Monica Road had been incorrectly charged £3,660.65 in Council Tax for 2026–2027 by Birmingham City Council. I contacted the council, submitted a covering letter along with supporting evidence, and they agreed to remove the additional charges and will issue a correction bill.

Another resident from Hobmoor Road had received an unusually high water bill from Severn Trent. After discussions and negotiations with the company, I managed to help resolve the issue.
A resident from Coventry Road had lost his old overseas travel document.

I advised him on the matter, requested additional supporting evidence, and rescheduled his appointment for Wednesday.
