As the year is coming to an end, I wanted to share something personal.

Even as a lawyer, I never thought I would find myself needing to bring a medical negligence claim myself. At the time, I felt overwhelmed and genuinely unsure whether this was the kind of case that could succeed.

I tried to resolve the situation directly first, but when my concerns were ignored, I had no choice but to take the legal route.
The case was handled by our legal team under the leadership of an experienced solicitor Alison.

Thanks to the outstanding work of our legal team, the case was successful and I received compensation for the pain, distress and financial losses I experienced. It was a long process, but one that reminded me how important it is not to give up when something isn’t right.

Подводя итоги года, хочу поделиться личной историей.

Даже будучи юристом, я никогда не думала, что сама окажусь в ситуации, когда придётся добиваться справедливости в деле о медицинской халатности. В начале я была растеряна и сомневалась, что подобное дело вообще можно выиграть.

Я сначала пыталась урегулировать ситуацию напрямую, но, когда мои обращения были проигнорированы, мне пришлось пойти юридическим путём.

Дело вела наша юридическая команда под руководством опытного юриста Алисон.
Благодаря профессиональной и очень внимательной работе нашей юридической команды дело было успешно завершено, и я получила компенсацию за перенесённую боль, моральные переживания и финансовые потери. Это был долгий путь, который ещё раз напомнил мне, как важно не сдаваться, когда что-то идёт не так.

It’s extremely icy today. We struggled to walk to school as pavements and roads were like ice rinks. My little one slipped so many times. If you really need to go out this morning avoid shoes with smooth soles.

Please be careful when driving as stopping distance on icy road increases by ten times. If you drive at 30mph your stopping distance on ice can be 230m or 750ft. Break gently and do things slowly as cars can get out of control really quickly when driving in icy conditions.

A lot of people underestimate how important it is to update their address on official documents when they change their address.

Always make sure you update your driving licence, vehicle log book, direct debit for vehicle tax and private number plate documents. Otherwise you can get fined.

It is also extremely important to change your address on motor insurance policy, otherwise this can invalidate your policy if there is an accident.
