Our Corporate Partner, Chris Moss, the “real lawyer behind Bank of Dave”, attended the premiere and reflected on the remarkable journey of helping Dave Fishwick bring Burnley Savings and Loans to life.

What began as an unconventional idea became a transformative moment for community banking, challenging the status quo and proving what can be achieved through determination, innovation and resilience.

Chris shared his thoughts on the uplifting production, the powerful message behind the story, and what it was like seeing his role brought to life on stage.

We had a great time this week at Cultivate 2026, the UK’s leading rural leadership conference, bringing together ambitious rural professionals, entrepreneurial farmers and future leaders from across the sector. 🌱

With this year’s theme, Leading Through Change, Cultivate offered timely and inspiring conversations around the challenges and opportunities facing the rural economy, from political and environmental pressures to emerging technologies and new markets.

We were also proud to sponsor the inaugural Lead‑In dinner, a fantastic new addition to the programme. Set in a relaxed rural setting, it was a brilliant opportunity for delegates to connect, share ideas and build relationships ahead of the main conference.

What an incredible day for our city and an inspiring display of determination from everyone involved in the Manchester Marathon. 🏃‍♀️

A huge congratulations to our colleagues Kiera Goodwin and Olivia O’Neil on completing the marathon. Taking on such a challenge is a fantastic achievement, and doing so in support of causes so close to their hearts makes it all the more meaningful.

We would also like to congratulate every runner who took part. The atmosphere across Manchester was exceptional, and it was inspiring to see so many people come together in support of one another.

On Sunday, many of our team gathered at the office as the route passed by, cheering on runners, handing out sweets to keep energy levels up, and soaking up the occasion together. It was a brilliant day, filled with community spirit and a shared sense of celebration for one of Manchester’s biggest sporting events.

A truly memorable day for all involved. 👏🏃‍♀️
