Back to HQ with a banger. Turns out our office still cleans up pretty well for a house party.

This year, Dottir Pre-Flow came home. Asa brought the bars, DJ M-Baby brought the beats, and our guests brought enough energy to make the fifth floor feel considerably less like a law firm.

Thanks to everyone who came, danced, and launched into the (Flow) weekend with us.

Hannella on m***a titteliä – ja tänään juhlitaan uusinta: tietokirjailija!

Counselina, puhujana ja tutkijana Hanne on viettänyt vuosia teknologia- ja tekoälyoikeuden parissa.

Nykyään jokainen yritys on tekoäly-yritys, mikä tarkoittaa lukuisia sopimuksia ja neuvotteluita niin omien työntekijöiden, ulkoisten kumppaneiden kuin IT-toimittajien kanssa.

Yhdessä Herkko Hietasen kanssa kirjoitetussa käsikirjassa ”Tekoälysopimukset” aihetta avataan esimerkkien avulla: mistä kannattaa sopia, kenen kanssa ja missä vaiheessa – ennen kuin virheet käyvät kalliiksi.

Another opportunity to contribute to Chambers and Partners’ Global Practice Guides.

Dottir’s Dispute Resolution team members Tuuli Timonen, Annika Lampela and Tony Chokairy have authored two Finland chapters of the Dispute Resolution 2026 guide: Law and Practice and Trends and Developments.

The guide offers an in-depth look at dispute resolution in Finland, from the practicalities of litigation and arbitration to the trends shaping tomorrow's disputes – including AI, major legislative reforms, geopolitical developments and the changing role of ADR.

Whether you're doing business in Finland or simply keeping an eye on developments in international dispute resolution, it's well worth a read.

After a year and a half as a Legal Trainee in our Tech & IP team (and one whole master’s degree later), Jaki has stepped into his next chapter with us. Freshly graduated, and officially an Associate now. Safe to say: this promotion was a natural sequel.

Jaki’s work spans trademark portfolio management, IP disputes, commercial contracts, regulatory advice, and pretty much everything where technology, business, and intellectual property meet. The payoff? Seeing his legal advice turn into real-world results for clients. Before Dottir, he’s also gained experience in the public sector, consulting, and other law firms.

When work wraps up, you’ll find Jaki either watching sports or playing them, trying out new recipes, or heading into nature with a fishing rod in hand. Good thing for Dottir’s fishing club, D-Kala, for staying active instead of becoming an archived Slack channel. 😉

Cheers to the next chapter, Jaki. We’re glad it’s with us.

Yup, we also attended the Helsinki Pride parade. 🌈

Allyship doesn’t have an off-season – and we’ll keep raising our voices, our rainbow flags, and, when the occasion calls for it, putting on a bit of glitter too.

We enjoyed the parade with our hearts fully out. Now, the work continues.

IP stars don’t just appear overnight. 🌠

Our own Pyry Niikkonen has landed his first-ever IP Stars ranking as a Rising Star – and we’d say it was only a matter of time. As Pyry continues to make his mark in the creative IP space, it’s great to see his work recognised. From copyright and brands to licensing, AI, media, music and film, he’s been helping clients navigate where intellectual property gets especially interesting.

The recognition doesn’t stop there. Our Tech & IP Chair Johanna Rantanen was once again recognised as a Transactions Star, Managing Partner Daniel Stranius as a Trade Mark Star, and Dottir’s trademark prosecution practice earned a Tier 3 ranking.

Not a bad set of stars to have in one office.

Pride is about taking up space – whether that means parading in the streets or having the conversations that don’t always make it onto the spotlight. The visible celebrations matter. So do the personal stories, uncomfortable discussions, small acts of allyship, and moments of connection that happen behind the scenes.

Over the past months, we’ve experienced the spirit of Pride through conversations – from discussing the power of collective impact at Helsinki Pride’s partner campaign event to sharing honest reflections with Pride volunteers on confidence, belonging, and the challenge (and joy) of showing up as yourself in (working) life.

Now Pride Week has arrived – and yes, we’re hyped. We will head to Helsinki Pride Business Forum, host our growth entrepreneurship-themed D-After Work, join the Pride Parade with our loved ones, and bring the disco energy to Helsinki Pride Park Festival.

If you find yourself in Kaivopuisto this Saturday, we’d love to see you there – our Disco by Dottir dance floor is open to everyone. 🌈✨

Turns out group dynamics are easier to understand at 30 km/h.

Yesterday, Dottir and some of our clients swapped meeting rooms for country roads as riders of all experience levels took on Tour de Lapinkylä under the guidance of Joonas Henttala and .

Verdict: Road cycling = more fun than it looks, headwinds = stronger than expected, moving forward = easier together. 🤝
