The fourth give-away tip comes from Finland 🎄✨:
Did you know a considerable portion of trademarks are filed for products and services already on the market? Waiting until your product hits the market or succeeds before filing a trademark is risky! The best time to file is before your product or service launch. Acting early can protect your company from legal challenges, costly rebranding, and boost its value.

During Advent, people start preparing traditional Christmas food. At the same time, Advent coffee is common, with saffron buns, gingerbread, and mulled w**e among the favourites. Mulled w**e, a warm spiced drink, plays a central role in warming up winter evenings in the Nordic.

In Denmark, employers must provide a written employment contract within one month of hire. This document is essential for safeguarding both employee and employer rights.

During Advent, Christmas markets are often organized in towns and villages, where people can gather, buy handicrafts and enjoy traditional delicacies such as mulled w**e and gingerbread. These markets bring people together and reinforce the sense of community.

The second give-away tip comes from Norway 🎄✨:
Always remember to include provisions on choice of law and legal venue in all cross-border agreements and contracts. Unfortunately, we often experience that this is missing.

One of the most iconic elements of the Nordic Advent tradition is the Advent candlestick. A classic Advent candlestick has four candles that are lit one at a time every Sunday until Christmas. The growing candle flame symbolizes hope and expectation, something that becomes especially meaningful in the darkness of the Nordic winter.

NORDIA Law has donated to Doctors Without Borders, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international medical aid orgnaization dedicated to saving lives and easing suffering in areas facing the most critical needs. Doctors Without Borders provides urgent medical assistance to victims of war and disasters in nearly 70 countries, prioritizing care for the most vulnerable patients, who would otherwise be at risk of going without treatment. 🤝🌍

This donation allow us to extend assistance to the areas that need it the most, and to demonstrate our commitment to solidarity and in line with our values.

NORDIA Law advised Swedish top striker Mikael Ishak in new contract deal with L**h Poznań ⚽

Mikael Ishak is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a forward for L**h Poznań in Poland's Ekstraklasa, where he also serves as the team captain. Throughout his career, Mikael Ishak has been known for his goal-scoring abilities. He has had notable stints with clubs like FC Köln, Randers FC, and FC Nürnberg. Since joining L**h Poznań in 2020, he has become a key player, leading the team to several successes and becoming their top foreign scorer of all time with 77 goals in 149 matches. Ishak has also represented Sweden at various levels, including the U21 team that won the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship as well as the senior national team, earning several caps.

After the success in L**h Poznań, Mikael Ishak has chosen to sign a new contract with the club for another two years.

Mikael Ishak was advised in the contract negotiations by Karl Ole Möller (partner).

NORDIA Law advises on record-breaking transfer in Swedish football history⚽️

Swedish midfielder Marcus Linday has completed a remarkable transfer to Dutch Eredivisie club sc Heerenveen from Västerås SK. Linday’s meteoric rise, from playing in the Swedish fourth tier less than a year ago, to now joining one of the Eredivisie’s iconic clubs, has stunned the football world.
NORDIA Law had the privilege of representing Marcus Linday in this deal. The legal team was led by Johan Strömberg (Partner) and David Mikhail (Associate).
