🌟 Join us for the traditional Night of San Juan Bonfires on the beaches of Torrevieja! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that June 23rd, the city of Torrevieja will celebrate the annual Night of San Juan Bonfires on its beautiful beaches. This popular event marks the beginning of summer and is enjoyed by locals of all ages.

Four of Torrevieja's stunning beaches, La Mata, El Cura, Los Locos, and Los Náufragos, will host this tradition. To ensure everyone's safety, access to these beaches will be restricted and closely monitored by the Local Police.

In support of this festive occasion, the City Council will provide firewood to those who wish to participate. A total of 15,000 kilograms of pine and mimosa wood – which leaves no residue – will be distributed. Other types of wood or materials for bonfires will not be allowed on the beaches. Firewood distribution points will be located at Los Náufragos beach, near the Poniente pier; in the central area of Los Locos beach; in the northern area of El Cura beach, and at three points in La Mata beach: on Avenida del Agua (next to the pumping station), on Avenida de los Europeos (near the lifeguard station), and in La Mata town, in front of Plaza Encarnación Puchol.

The bonfire celebrations will take place from 8:00 pm until 2:00 am at all four Torrevieja beaches. At 2:00 am, we kindly ask everyone to conclude the festivities to allow for beach cleaning.

La Concejalía de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja ha convocado una “Semana de Eventos Tecnológicos y Deportivos” gratuita, que tendrá lugar del 26 al 30 de junio. El evento estará abierto a los jóvenes de Torrevieja, que podrán participar en diferentes actividades deportivas como pádel, voley playa, fútbol y frisbee. También en el evento, los participantes podrán familiarizarse con las tecnologías, estudiar robótica y desarrollo de aplicaciones. El curso se divide en dos grupos de edad para jóvenes de 12 a 14 años y de 15 a 17 años.
