Do I qualify?
And would it actually benefit me?

Your employment structure, tax history and circumstances surrounding your move all matter. Your visa is only one part of the picture.

How much could you afford in Spain as a non-resident? 🇪🇸

When applying for a mortgage in Spain, banks look at more than just your income. Your existing debts, financial stability, country of residence and overall financial profile will all influence how much you can borrow.

For this example, we’ve calculated the figures based on:

• Up to 70% financing
• 35% debt-to-income ratio
• 25-year mortgage term
• 3.5% illustrative interest rate
• No other outstanding debts

For example, with a €5,000 net monthly income, a 35% debt ratio allows for an estimated monthly payment of €1,750. Under these assumptions, this could support financing of approximately €350,000 — equivalent to a property price of around €500,000 at 70% financing.

These figures are illustrative. Every mortgage application is assessed individually and actual conditions will vary depending on the bank and the buyer’s financial profile.

Thinking about buying in Marbella or the Costa del Sol? We can help you understand your financing options before you start your property search.

Everyone talks about Marbella in summer, but locals know the best part comes after.

When the crowds leave, Marbella slows down. The beaches are quieter, the weather is still warm enough to swim, but without the intense heat, and you can finally enjoy the city at its own pace.

It's also a great time if you're planning to relocate or buy a property. After the peak season, the market starts to settle, giving buyers more room to explore their options.

If you've only experienced Marbella in July or August, you haven't seen it at its best.

September is where the real Marbella begins.

Planning to move to Spain as a digital nomad?

The documentation you’ll need depends on how you work.

An employee, a freelancer and a business owner may all qualify for Spain’s Digital Nomad residence route — but the way each case is documented is different.

Beyond the personal documents required for the application, you’ll need to prove your professional relationship, remote activity, company or client history, income and Social Security position, depending on your circumstances.

That’s why preparing a Digital Nomad application isn’t just about collecting documents. It’s about understanding which evidence applies to your specific professional structure and presenting the case correctly.

Swipe through to see the main documents typically required for:

→ Remote employees
→ Self-employed professionals / freelancers
→ Business owners

Not sure which checklist applies to you?
Request a Legal Relocation Assessment and we’ll review your situation before you start the process.
