BAADJA GROUP Traders - Weekly Market Report & Price List
Arabica coffee futures contracts began the session on Wednesday (11) with devaluation in the New York Stock Exchange (ICE Future US). Around 11h20 AM (Brazillian -3 GMT Time), the contracts for March/23 were down by 570 points, being traded at 145,20 cents/LBP.
According to StoneX's Coffee Market Intelligence analyst Leonardo Rossetti, the weather remains mostly favorable for the main producing regions in the coffee belt in Brazil. "Our rainfall forecast are pointing to continuous rainfall in the next 14 days, which has favored the positive sentiment regarding the next crop, since in these first months the weather is still crucial,".
According to Climatempo, The South Atlantic Convergence Zone (SACZ), responsible for a lot of rain mainly over producing areas in the Southeast in recent days, has already been deconfigured, but many instabilities are still acting on the interior and should still cause heavy rains over producing areas in the coming days.
Moreover, the analyst noted that certified stocks of Arabica coffee in the New York Stock Exchange also continue to advance, and on Monday (09) reached its highest level since July last year, which helps to put pressure on prices.
Another factor that may influence the market this week is the report on Brazilian coffee exports in December, which will be released by Cecafé in the coming weeks.
