TRAVELLING WITH YOUR VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
Good news!
There has been an update on the sanitary requirements to enter Spain. If you have completed your COVID vaccinations, you will be able to come to Spain without having to present a negative PCR or an antigens test certificate.
If you already have been vaccinated, you must provide your vaccination certificate. It being an official certificate (from your country of origin) that states that the last dose of the COVID-vaccine has been administered at least 14 days prior to travelling. The certificate must be written in Spanish/English/French/German or translated by an official translator. It must include your name and surname(s), the date of vaccinations, type of vaccine, number of administered doses, country and identification of the institution issuing the vaccination certificate.
If, on the other hand, you have not yet received your COVID vaccinations (or have not yet received all the mandatory doses), do not worry, you may still enter the country with one of these certificates:
• Diagnosis certificate: you could either present a (negative) PCR test or the faster and economic version of it, the Antigent test. Remember that it must have been issued within the 48 hours prior to your arrival to Spain). This certificate must include the country where it was issued, the name and surname of the individual, kind of test and the date of when the sample was taken.
• Certificate of recovery: if you have been diagnosed with COVID on the last 180 days but no longer have it, the competent authority (or at least by a medical service) shall issue a certificate of recovery in which they must include the name and surname of the individual, as well as the date in which the first positive test diagnosed for SARS-CoV-2 was issued (at least 11 days prior to the certificate of recovery), and the country and type of NAAT test taken.
• EU’s digital COVID certificate: From the 1st of July it will be possible for residents from the countries of the European Union to use their EU COVID digital certificate to freely move within the EU space without necessity to print and show it at the airport. Such certificate will automatically state the type of certificate (vaccination, diagnosis or recovery) that allows them to travel.
