The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has issued Board Resolution No. 99 of 2026, introducing a new mechanism for enforcing final court judgments, arbitral awards, and other enforceable instruments relating to centrally deposited unlisted securities.
The new framework establishes a clear process for transferring ownership and completing settlement procedures, enhancing the effectiveness of enforcement mechanisms and increasing legal certainty in transactions involving unlisted shares.
The resolution addresses a long-standing practical challenge in the implementation of ownership-related decisions and is expected to have a significant impact on shareholder disputes, private share transfers, mergers and acquisitions disputes, and the enforcement of arbitral awards.

Minister of Labor Decree No. 75 of 2026 introduces a structured framework governing the employment of women in Egypt, with a particular focus on occupational safety and employer compliance.

The Decree adopts a risk-based approach by restricting certain hazardous activities during pregnancy and breastfeeding, while allowing employment subject to appropriate health and safety measures. It also establishes a regulated regime for night work, requiring employer safeguards and prior approvals.

For businesses, the key implication is clear: compliance now requires active risk assessment, workplace adjustments, and alignment of internal policies with the new regulatory requirements.
