National Community of Human Rights and Law Our Revolution ...Our Rights Human Dignity, Freedom & Social justice Who we are A group of young men and women from different social , cultural and religious backgrounds and ideologies who participated and contributed in paving the way for the first wave of the ongoing Egyptian revolution, believing in the need of a community for the promotion of human rights and its protection, deriving from the revolution its legitimacy and existence as one of the democratic current communities , and believing in the extension of The National Community and its correlation with the Arab societies after a wave of revolutions which demands are related to human rights from human dignity, freedom to social justice. We are a COMMUNITY because we share common interests, goals and dreams in building homelands that respects the human dignity, the freedom and the social justice and guarantee it for all the daughters and sons of the nation without discrimination. Its a NATIONAL community because it is a part of this nation and one of its groups that enforces its vision to change the society towards a society that understands and safeguards personal and public freedoms. And a National community for HUMAN RIGHTS because we believe that the Egyptian Revolution was rose for our fundamental rights through its basic demands .. Human Dignity, Freedom and Social Justice. The National Community for Human Rights has an Arabic expansion because we believe that the Arab peoples are connected by common links, among them is the belief in the Human Rights valuables that was demonstrated by the peoples revolutions from the ocean to the gulf . Why The National Community? After the success of the Egyptian revolution first wave and despite the faltering of its successive waves we are facing a new variable in the Egyptian society which is the participation of millions of young men and women in a political and social movement that may be the major in our nation history, and the willingness of thousands of them to participate in the public domain by involving in organized movements. The National Community introduces itself as one of the organizational forms where the youth of the nation who are eager to build homelands based on achieving the goals of the revolution from Human Dignity, Freedom to Social Justice , through The National Community that reflects and represents them in the society and turn them to be an effective party in the realization of the Revolution aims and turning them to reality. Our Vision The Revolution demands which are related with values thousands of people who participated in the revolution struggled for and still struggling for its realization , the Human dignity, freedom and social justice are not just legal texts, but values that the youth of the nation paid the price for its consolidation and inviolability. The inviolability of these values and the continuity of the revolutionary atmosphere is related to the existence of the National Community for Human Rights which engages in its membership those who shares the interest and aim to build nations based on Right , Justice and Equality and undertakes to achieve the Revolution objectives from human Dignity, freedom to social justice. How does the community work ? The National Community is seeking to be a membership organization in where specialists and professionals work, managed by its members supporters of human rights according to a horizontal, not hierarchical system, depending on the principles of democracy, contribution and transparency. The National Community will work during the establishment stage on the completion of the Community essential elements through the association with volunteers having the capacity and the ability to build a strong national community able to effect the society to realize our rights we demanded through the revolution . The Community works on the insurance of an effective and wide participation in the National Community plans and activities from all the supporting sectors in the society believing in human rights through the contribution in building and creating local groups from The Community members that supports human rights by working on the ground and struggling for changing the policies against human rights. Provided that there groups will be associated organizationally with The National Community and constitutes its general assembly and its basic spectators and will form its action plans and strategies. Principles of The National Community for Human Rights The National Community abides by several principles and moral values in its operating mechanisms or activities, namely: • The values and principles urged by the Egyptian Revolution from Human dignity, Freedom to Social Justice. • The belief in the importance of working with activists in the Arab Region who are supporting human rights and the law, and that we are a part of a popular movement advocating human rights for all the peoples of the region. • International treaties and conventions and Universal Declarations of Human Rights. • The commitment to the values of the modern civil state and specially the values of citizenship and non-discrimination. • A fair representation of Women and minorities in its entities in way that reflects the society. • The full independence from the authorities and parties. • The National community membership and the participation in its activities is a voluntary work except for the staff , no one from the community members earns any wages or material benefits. The National community is forbidden to receive any funds from governmental authorities regardless who is it, also it doesn't receive any exterior or interior fund not in accordance to rules that guarantee the independence of The National Community and in accordance to the rules of transparency and internal democracy and from entities or figures that doesn't have a history of hostility against the revolutions in the Arab countries, provided that The National Community announces it monetary policies in a clear and transparent form.
