✅ رسوم التسجيل: 15,000 جنيه مصري للمشارك الواحد، وتشمل تكاليف حضور الدورة التأهيلية وامتحان نيل الشهادة المهنية PA-CEMP.

يُعدّ برنامج PA-CEMP مبادرة إقليمية رائدة تهدف إلى بناء القدرات الفنية والإدارية للعاملين في قطاع الطاقة بالمنطقة العربية. ويغطي البرنامج محاور رئيسية تشمل الأنظمة الكهربائية والحرارية، وإدارة الطاقة، وسياسات الطاقة، ليزوّد المشاركين بالمهارات اللازمة لقيادة جهود كفاءة الطاقة بفاعلية ودعم الاستراتيجيات الوطنية للطاقة.

⚡ PA-CEMP in Lebanon: Strengthening professional capacity for energy management
The signing of the agreement between RCREEE and the Lebanese Centre for Energy Conservation (LCEC), held on the sidelines of The Lebanon Grand Energy Event 2026 on 11 September 2026, marks an important milestone in expanding the Certified Energy Management Expert (PA-CEMP) program to Lebanon.
The agreement establishes a framework for strengthening access in Lebanon to a regionally recognized professional certification in energy management. Lebanon has been engaged in the PA-CEMP programme, contributing to the advancement of its regional approach and framework. This sustained engagement provides a strong institutional foundation for the effective implementation of the programme and its continued development in Lebanon.
Professionals can benefit through PA-CEMP, from regional certification and continuous professional development, supporting the recognition of expertise in energy management as the energy sector continues to evolve.
The signing reflects a shared commitment by RCREEE and LCEC to strengthen professional capacities, support high-quality energy management practices, and contribute to the development of a skilled energy workforce in Lebanon and across the Arab region.

☀️ Solarising Africa: Turning sunshine into shared prosperity

RCREEE, in partnership with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC), and the CETEx (Centre for Economic Transition Expertise) at the London School of Economics, has contributed to a new continental report entitled, “ Solarising Africa: Advancing the Continental Clean Energy Transition”.

The report explores how Africa can scale up solar deployment and move beyond electricity generation to unlock practical applications across agriculture, transport, distributed renewable energy, utility-scale solar, and regional power integration. It offers concrete pathways for translating solar potential into tangible development outcomes.

In line with RCREEE’s mandate to support evidence-based policymaking and regional cooperation, RCREEE experts provided analytical contributions and regional perspectives that informed the report’s recommendations and helped ensure their relevance to national and regional contexts.

🌍 RCREEE at the 18th Solar PV & Energy Storage World Expo 2026 in Guangzhou, China
RCREEE participated in the 18th Solar PV & Energy Storage World Expo 2026, held in Guangzhou, bringing the Arab region’s perspective to the global dialogue on renewable energy and energy storage.
Representing RCREEE, Dr. Ahmed Khalil, Director of the ESG Department, participated in the opening activities and delivered an intervention entitled “Energy Storage for a Resilient Arab Energy Future.”
His intervention highlighted the growing strategic role of energy storage in accelerating renewable energy integration, strengthening grid flexibility and resilience, and enhancing energy security across the Arab region. It also emphasized the importance of supportive regulatory frameworks, investment, regional cooperation, and knowledge exchange to scale up storage solutions.
With its network of 17 Arab Member States, RCREEE continues to support regional cooperation and practical solutions for a more resilient, sustainable and secure energy future.

Contributes to the TeraMed Investment Forum on Advancing the Sustainable Energy Transition

Dr. Maged Mahmoud, acting Executive Director of RCREEE participated in the TeraMed Investment Forum in Egypt, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss accelerating the sustainable energy transition, advancing renewable energy deployment and addressing financing gaps.

During his intervention on “From Challenges to Opportunities: A Roadmap for Green Energy Financing,” Dr. Maged Mahmoud highlighted key considerations for strengthening access to finance and creating an enabling environment for investments in renewable energy and the green energy transition.

The forum provided a platform for dialogue on mobilizing investment, addressing financing challenges, and strengthening cooperation to accelerate the deployment of sustainable energy solutions.

RCREEE’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting regional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and practical approaches to advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency across the Arab region.

توقيع اتفاقية تعاون لإطلاق برنامج «خبير معتمد في إدارة الطاقة» في لبنان
بيروت، 11 سبتمبر 2026/

وقّع المركز الإقليمي للطاقة المتجددة وكفاءة الطاقة (RCREEE) والمركز اللبناني لحفظ الطاقة (LCEC) اتفاقية تعاون لإطلاق وتنفيذ برنامج "خبير معتمد في إدارة الطاقة" (PA-CEMP) في الجمهورية اللبنانية، وذلك على هامش فعاليات أسبوع بيروت للطاقة 2026.

وقام بتوقيع الاتفاقية عن RCREEE الدكتور ماجد محمود، القائم بأعمال المدير التنفيذي للمركز، وعن LCEC الدكتور جوزيف الأسد، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والمدير العام التنفيذي.

ويهدف هذا التعاون إلى إتاحة برنامج PA-CEMP للمهنيين والمتخصصين في قطاع الطاقة في لبنان، وتعزيز قدراتهم في مجال إدارة الطاقة، بما يسهم في دعم كفاءة الطاقة وتطوير الكفاءات المهنية في القطاع.

ويمثل توقيع الاتفاقية خطوة جديدة نحو تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي وتبادل الخبرات في مجالات كفاءة الطاقة وإدارة الطاقة، ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق تحول طاقي مستدام في قطاع الطاقة في المنطقة العربية.



RCREEE and LCEC Sign Cooperation Agreement to Launch PA-CEMP Programme in Lebanon

Beirut, 11 September 2026

The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) signed a Cooperation Agreement to launch and implement the Certified Energy Management Expert Program (PA-CEMP) in Lebanon.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Lebanon Grand Energy Event 2026 (LGEE 2026) in Beirut.

The agreement was signed on behalf of RCREEE by Dr. Maged Mahmoud, Acting Executive Director, and on behalf of LCEC by Dr. Joseph El Assad, Chairman of the Board and Executive General Manager.

This partnership will facilitate the implementation of PA-CEMP Programme for energy-sector professionals in Lebanon, strengthening professional capacities in energy management and contributing to the advancement of energy efficiency in the country.

The signing marks another step in strengthening regional cooperation and knowledge exchange in energy efficiency and energy management, while supporting efforts towards a more sustainable energy transition across the Arab region.

The partnership’s first milestone is an integrated rooftop solar project across ABB’s factory complex, set to become one of Egypt’s largest distributed solar projects in the industrial sector.

🌍 2,846 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided every year
⛽ More than 1.22 million litres of fuel consumption avoided annually
📅 Connection to the national grid planned for 2027

ABB Egypt aims through this project, to transition 70% 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐲 2028, while contributing to the Shams Al-Sinaa initiative’s national target of deploying up to 1,000 MW of rooftop solar capacity across Egypt’s industrial facilities.

This collaboration also highlights 𝐑𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐄’𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐠𝐲𝐩𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 by bringing together regional expertise and private-sector innovation, promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions, and accelerating the transition towards a competitive, sustainable, and low-emission industrial sector.

Innovation & Investment Forum on Smart Mini-Grids in .

Organized in Cairo, the two-day forum brought together policymakers, regulators, utilities, project developers, financiers, technology providers, and development partners to advance practical solutions for the deployment and scaling of smart mini-grids in Egypt.

RCREEE was pleased to contribute to this regional platform, supporting the exchange between key stakeholders and bringing its regional expertise and experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, policy development, and sustainable energy investment to the discussions.

To wrap up the two-day forum:

Day 1 focused on moving from regulation to projects, addressing the implementation of Egypt’s smart mini-grid framework, grid integration, and technical readiness.



Day 2 focused on financing and scaling, with discussions on investment risks, risk mitigation, financing mechanisms, and the partnerships needed to accelerate project development.



The forum also facilitated direct exchanges between local developers, the regulator, development finance institutions, and commercial banks, creating opportunities to explore potential collaboration and investment.

For RCREEE, the forum provided an important opportunity to strengthen stakeholder dialogue, and support the development of enabling conditions for smart mini-grids and decentralized renewable energy solutions in the region.
