Set within the timeless character of Zamalek, Cairo, this apartment renovation was approached with a deep respect for the home’s original identity. Rather than redefining its past, the design builds upon it preserving the classical proportions, decorative moldings, and architectural details while introducing a refined contemporary layer.

Warm timber, expressive marble, aged mirrors, sculptural lighting, and carefully curated furniture bring richness and depth to the existing framework. Bold artworks and unexpected material contrasts add personality, creating moments of tension between old and new without compromising the apartment’s inherent elegance.

The result is a home that feels distinctly of its place and history, yet entirely relevant to the way it is lived in today a renovation where heritage is not recreated, but reinterpreted.
