We are proud to have advised one of Egypt’s leading industrial developers in finalizing a landmark agreement to establish a new industrial park in the New Administrative Capital.

Our team provided legal advisory and drafted the agreement for this strategic project, which aligns with the broader momentum of Egyptian–Turkish cooperation — reinforced by recent high-level engagements between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that have paved the way for deeper collaboration across industrial and economic sectors.

The park will span 1.8 million m², represent an investment of approximately EGP 6 billion, and is expected to host a wide range of manufacturers while creating around 15,000 jobs.

We are honored to have contributed to this transformative initiative, which will support the growth of the New Administrative Capital and foster a dynamic industrial ecosystem for Egypt.

Egypt's PDPL Executive Regulations (Decree 816/2025) Now in Force!
After over five years since Law No. 151/2020, the Executive Regulations were issued in November 2025 (published in the Official Gazette and publicly available from December 2025).
A one-year grace period for full compliance starts now – deadline approximately 1 November 2026. Post-grace enforcement includes heavy fines and strict oversight.
Main highlights from the Regulations:
Mandatory appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for high-volume processors.
Graduated licensing regime for all personal data processing activities under the Personal Data Protection Center.
Stricter rules for cross-border data transfers (risk assessments + safeguards).
Direct electronic marketing now requires specific licensing and explicit consent.
Breach notification obligations and penalties up to millions of EGP for non-compliance.
This marks Egypt's shift to a mature, enforceable data protection framework – boosting investor confidence in the digital economy.
