🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 29 | Preparing for Eid

المشي إلى المسجد لأداء الصلاة (walking to the Eid prayer)

حيث ثبت عن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه قوله:
""""من السنة أن تخرج إلى العيد ماشيًا""""، وقد كان النبي ﷺ يحرص على ذلك، كما يستحب الذهاب من طريق والعودة من آخر لإظهار شعائر الإسلام.

As it was reported on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: “It is from the Sunnah to go out to the Eid on foot.” The Prophet (PBUH) was keen on doing that, and it is recommended to go by one
route and return by another to demonstrate the rituals of Islam.

🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 28 | Preparing for Eid

تهنئة المسلمين بعضهم بعضًا (exchanging congratulations among muslims)

عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ قَالَ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا الْتَقَوْا يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ يَقُولُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ تَقَبَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنَّا وَمِنْكَ.

Jubayr ibn Nufayr reported: The Companions of the Prophet (PBUH), when they met each other on the day of Eid, they would say to each other, “May Allah accept good deeds from us and from you.”

🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 27 | Preparing for Eid

التكبير من غروب شمس آخر يوم من رمضان (takbir during the night of `Eid from sunset on the last day of Ramadan)

قال الله تعالى وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
سورة البقرة، الآية (185)

“..., so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful”. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse (185).

🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 26 | Preparing for Eid

الأكل قبل الخروج لصلاة عيد الفطر (Eating before going out for Eid Al-Fitr prayer)

عن أنس رضي الله عنه:
«كان رسول الله ﷺ لا يغدو يوم الفطر حتى يأكل تمرات»

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that “On the Day of Fitr, Allah's Prophet (PBUH) would not go out until he had eaten some dates”.

الغسل قبل الذهاب إلى صلاة العيد والتطيب (ritual bath on the day of Eid and applying perfumes)
حيث كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يلبس أحسن ثيابه ويتطيب.

🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 24

الإكثار من الدعاء ليلة القدر (make many duas for Lailat-Al-Qadr)

ورد عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الدعاء في العشر الأواخر ففي حديث ورد عن السيدة عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت:
قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَافَقْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ، بِمَ أَدْعُو؟ قَالَ: """"قُولِى: """"اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّى"""".

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) as narrated,
she asked the Prophet (PBUH), “Prophet of Allah, what if I knew which night it is! What do I say then?” He said, “Say this: O Allah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me!”

Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 23 🌙

(أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَائِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنْكُمْ فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَلَا تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ).
سورة البقرة، الآية (187)

(It has been made permissible for you to be intimate with your wives during the nights preceding the fast. Your spouses are a garment for you as you are for them. Allah knows that you were deceiving yourselves. So He has accepted your repentance and pardoned you. So now you may be intimate with them and seek what Allah has prescribed for you. [You may] eat and drink until you see the light of dawn breaking the darkness of night, then complete the fast until nightfall. Do not be intimate with your spouses while you are meditating in the mosques. These are the limits set by Allah, so do not exceed them. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to people, so they may become mindful [of Him]). Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse (185).

🌙 Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 22

تحرّي ليلة القدر أثناء الاعتكاف (seeking laylat al-Qadr during i'tikaf)

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال:
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
(من يقم ليلة القدر إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه).

Abu Hurairah narrated that:
the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven”.

Sunnahs of Ramadan – Day 21 🌙

أن يكون الاعتكاف في المسجد (i'tikf must be in mosque)

قال تعالى (وَلاَ تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُون).

Do not be intimate with your spouses while you are meditating in the mosques. These are the limits set by Allah, so do not exceed them. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to people, so they may become mindful [of Him].
