Egypt's Minister of Industry Decision No. 171 of 2026 gives delayed industrial projects six to eighteen months to complete, with full penalty relief only for projects at 75% completion or more. Projects that already had an extension get three months, then the land can be withdrawn. Allocated industrial land also cannot be sold, assigned or leased until licensing, registration and operation conditions are met.

Chris brings over seven years of experience in intellectual property strategy, specializing in global IP enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, and brand protection for multinational and Fortune 500 companies. With extensive expertise in cross-border legal coordination, he has successfully developed enforcement networks across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas, leading complex multi-jurisdictional initiatives and supporting landmark international anti-counterfeiting actions.
