During my recent visit to South Korea, I had the privilege of visiting Korea University, including high-level meetings with the Dean of the College of Law, alongside valuable discussions with the Head of the Center for Middle East & Islamic Studies regarding future academic and advisory cooperation frameworks.

The meetings reflected a mutual vision toward strengthening legal dialogue, academic exchange, and cross-border institutional cooperation between South Korea, Egypt, and the broader Middle East region.

These discussions represent an important step toward building long-term legal and academic bridges connecting Asia and the Middle East, particularly in areas related to international law, regional studies, legal strategy, intellectual property, arbitration, and international cooperation frameworks.

From Seoul to Cairo — strategic discussions are evolving into real international cooperation.

Following a series of high-level meetings in South Korea, we are pleased to announce the successful progress of partnership negotiations and market cooperation discussions related to the Egyptian market in the fields of K-Beauty, cosmetics, and future medical development initiatives.

The meetings focused on establishing long-term cooperation frameworks, legal and commercial structuring, sustainable market entry strategies, and future opportunities for introducing selected Korean products into Egypt through a professional institutional approach.

The discussions were also followed by a business dinner focused on future cooperation opportunities, long-term market vision, and strengthening professional relations between both sides.

In parallel, initial market alignment discussions were coordinated with leading industry stakeholders in Egypt as part of a broader strategic vision for future expansion and sustainable cooperation.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to KEDA – Korean Egyptian Development Association for their valuable support and constructive role in facilitating communication and supporting this important step toward international collaboration.

This is only the beginning of a wider vision connecting South Korea and Egypt through strategic partnerships, institutional dialogue, and cross-border cooperation.

من سيول إلى القاهرة… خطوات حقيقية نحو تعاون دولي استراتيجي.

بعد سلسلة من الاجتماعات رفيعة المستوى في كوريا الجنوبية، يسعدنا الإعلان عن التقدم الناجح في مناقشات الشراكة والتعاون المرتبطة بالسوق المصري في مجالات الكوزموتيكس والـ K-Beauty، إلى جانب مبادرات مستقبلية مرتبطة بالتطوير الطبي.

وبالتوازي، تم تنسيق مناقشات مبدئية مع عدد من الجهات والكيانات الفاعلة في السوق المصري ضمن رؤية استراتيجية أوسع للتوسع والتعاون المستدام خلال المرحلة المقبلة.

ونتقدم بخالص التقدير إلى KEDA – Korean Egyptian Development Association على دعمهم القيّم ودورهم البنّاء في تعزيز التواصل ودعم هذه الخطوة المهمة نحو تعاون دولي فعّال.

هذه ليست سوى البداية لرؤية أوسع تربط بين كوريا الجنوبية ومصر عبر شراكات استراتيجية وحوار مؤسسي وتعاون عابر للحدود.

Strategic conversations in Seoul.

I was honored to visit Kim & Chang in Seoul, South Korea, for high-level discussions exploring potential frameworks for future cooperation across Intellectual Property, International Arbitration, and cross-border legal strategy.

Engaging with one of Asia’s most prominent legal institutions reflects the growing importance of deeper international legal connectivity between the Middle East and East Asia — particularly in sectors where sophisticated legal infrastructure, regulatory precision, and strategic market positioning are essential.

The discussions extended beyond conventional legal dialogue, touching on long-term institutional collaboration, international business expansion, dispute resolution mechanisms, and the evolving role of globally connected legal practice in emerging markets.

ضمن تفاعل مهني مباشر مع دوائر دعم وصناعة القرار، تشرفت بالتواجد اليوم في مركز المعلومات ودعم اتخاذ القرار – مجلس الوزراء المصري، في لقاء يعكس بوضوح أن الدور القانوني لم يعد تابعًا لمسار القرار، بل أصبح جزءًا من تشكيله وصياغة اتجاهاته.

في بيئة تتسارع فيها التحولات، لم يعد كافيًا أن يتدخل القانون بعد وقوع الإشكال، بل بات حضوره في لحظة اتخاذ القرار عنصرًا حاسمًا في إدارة المخاطر، وبناء أطر تنظيمية أكثر استقرارًا، وتعزيز الثقة المؤسسية.

نؤمن في AGLC أن التواجد داخل هذه المساحات ليس حضورًا رمزيًا، بل امتداد لدور قانوني يتقاطع مع مراكز التأثير، ويساهم بفاعلية في دعم بيئة الأعمال وصياغة مشهد أكثر اتزانًا واستدامة.

As part of a direct professional engagement with decision-support and policy-making circles, I had the privilege of being at the Information and Decision Support Center – Egyptian Cabinet, in a meeting that clearly reflects how the legal function is no longer a downstream role, but an integral part of shaping decisions and defining their direction.

In a rapidly evolving landscape, legal insight is no longer confined to resolving issues after they arise; it has become a critical component at the decision-making stage—driving risk management, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and reinforcing institutional confidence.
