The Dominican Republic is one of the countries where foreign investment is most encouraged. To purchase real estate in Dominican Republic all you need is a valid passport and a second form of ID and you will have the same treatment, rights, and privileges as Dominicans in regard to buying & owning real estate. As a foreigner you can even apply for loans in Dominican banks.

One of the benefits of investing in new constructions in tourist areas such as Punta Cana is that the property may be covered by the Confotur tax exemption benefit. This means that the property will be exempt of the standard 3% property transfer tax and the standard annual property tax for 15 years making your investment yields a strong ROI.
