Internationaler Studentenwettbewerb im Bereich Wirtschaftsrecht/internationale Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit Der Willem C. Die Verfahrenssprache ist Englisch.

Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot ist der weltweit größte internationale Studentenwettbewerb im Zivilrecht, an dem jährlich bis zu 300 Universitäten aus der ganzen Welt teilnehmen. Ausgetragen wird der Wettbewerb seit 1994 in Wien und seit 2004 zusätzlich in Hongkong. Strukturell lässt sich der Wettbewerb in drei Phasen gliedern. Mit der Veröffentlichung des Sachverhalts im Oktober beg

innt die Schriftsatzphase. Dabei müssen die Teams je einen Klägerschriftsatz und einen Beklagtenschriftsatz aus der Anwaltsperspektive verfassen. Im Anschluss daran beginnt im Februar die Vorbereitungsphase für die mündlichen Verhandlungen, in der die rhetorischen und argumentativen Fähigkeiten der Teilnehmer verbessert werden sollen. Hier stehen zahlreiche Probepleadings bei international anerkannten Großkanzleien und die Teilnahme an Pre-Moots im In- und Ausland im Vordergrund. Schließlich treten die Teams im März/April in den finalen Verhandlungsrunden in Wien und Hongkong vor einem internationalen Tribunal aus Anwälten, Schiedsrichtern und Professoren gegeneinander an. Die LMU München blickt dabei inzwischen auf eine gewachsene Tradition zurück. Seit dem Wettbewerb im Jahr 2003/2004 beteiligte sich jährlich ein Münchener Team mit großem Erfolg am Wettbewerb. Seit 2009 wird das Team von Prof. Dr. Horst Eidenmüller, Lehrstuhl für Bürgerliches Recht, Deutsches, Europäisches und Internationales Unternehmensrecht und Direktor des Munich Center for Dispute Resolution geleitet und unterstützt. he 33rd Vis Moot is over and we are looking back on an incredible journey. Months of researching, writing, practicing, pleading, traveling and growing as a team, from San Diego to New York, from Hong Kong to Vienna.

All the hard work paid off in Vienna, where the Respondent Memorandum received an Honorable Mention and Team Munich advanced to the Round of 64. A result that reflects the dedication, resilience and countless hours invested throughout the season.

But Vis is about more than results. It is about the people along the way, the teams met in hearings and beyond, the arbitrators who challenge and inspire, and the community that makes this experience so unique. Seeing this team develop over the past months has been a privilege.

Between pleadings, late-night preparation and far too much time spent with bundles, we also had the chance to explore Hong Kong together. From harbour views and team dinners to getting lost in the city, this trip was about much more than the competition.

Spending this time together on the other side of the world, sharing the stress, the excitement and all the moments in between, made this experience incredibly special for us as a team.

Hong Kong, you were very good to us. Vienna, we’re ready.

Hong Kong was an unforgettable experience for our team. After months of research, drafting and countless practice rounds, we are very proud that our Respondent’s Memorandum was recognised with an Honourable Mention.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported and accompanied us along the way and helped make this experience in Hong Kong so special.

Vis East was an intense, challenging and incredibly rewarding experience for our entire team, and we are very proud to have been part of it.
