We were honoured to participate in the Business Forum and B2B Meetings held in Mumbai, India, on 21 May 2026, organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026, Invest Cyprus, and the Cyprus India Business Association, on the sidelines of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης - Nikos Christodoulides, to India.
Our firm was represented by Associates George Andreou and Chloe Americanos, who joined business leaders in discussions focused on strengthening Cyprus–India economic relations and exploring new cross-border opportunities.
Particular emphasis was placed on Cyprus’ strengths in financial services, technology, innovation, shipping, energy and professional services, as well as the country’s strategic role within regional connectivity initiatives such as the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
A significant milestone during the visit was the official inauguration of the Eurobank India Office at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, attended by H.E. Mr. Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης - Nikos Christodoulides. The event also marked the launch of Eurobank’s cross-border remittance service from Greece to India via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), further enhancing Europe–India financial connectivity.
During the event, H.E. Mr. Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης - Nikos Christodoulides also announced the commencement of operations of the Cyprus Trade Center in Mumbai in September 2026. The Centre is expected to serve as an important hub for business connectivity, supporting Indian companies seeking opportunities in Cyprus and across Europe.
We are pleased to have been part of this important initiative, which reflects the growing strategic and economic ties between Cyprus and India and creates new opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors.
