We are proud to support the Alphamega Run as One 2026 once again, as a Race Supporter.

The press conference for this year's charity race took place on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, where Alphamega Hypermarkets officially presented the event. The race is dedicated to children, under the message "We Run for our Children".

The race will be held on Sunday, 18 October 2026, starting and finishing at Alphamega Hypermarket Engomi, Nicosia. We look forward to seeing you there 🏃

Τι γίνεται όταν μια εταιρεία αποκλειστεί παράνομα από δημόσιο διαγωνισμό και το έργο έχει ήδη εκτελεστεί από άλλον;

Σε πρόσφατη υπόθεση που χειρίστηκε το γραφείο μας, το Επαρχιακό Δικαστήριο Λευκωσίας έκρινε ότι η ακύρωση της απόφασης της αναθέτουσας αρχής δεν αρκεί από μόνη της. Ο προσφοροδότης δικαιούται αποζημίωση για το κέρδος που θα είχε αποκομίσει, δυνάμει του άρθρου 146.6 του Συντάγματος.

France's National Day in Nicosia 🇫🇷🇨🇾

Yesterday evening, our Partner Doros Lycourgos, along with our colleague Dena Ellina, had the pleasure of attending the reception hosted by H.E. Mrs. Clélia Chevrier Kolačko, Ambassador of France to the Republic of Cyprus, at the French-Cypriot School of Nicosia.

A warm and elegant evening, and an opportunity to connect with friends and colleagues from the diplomatic, business and legal communities in Cyprus.

Relations between Cyprus and France are at their strongest, and this year Cypriot troops participated in the parade of the 14 Juillet on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, carrying the flag of the Republic of Cyprus.

Our sincere thanks to the Ambassador and her team for the kind invitation and the generous hospitality.

⚖️ Η Θεσμική Εξουσία Συνοδεύεται από Ευθύνη

Σε ένα κράτος δικαίου, η άσκηση θεσμικής εξουσίας οφείλει να διέπεται από αντικειμενικότητα, ακρίβεια και σεβασμό προς τα δικαιώματα του πολίτη.

Η πρόσφατη απόφαση στην αγωγή 816/2015 του Επαρχιακού Δικαστηρίου Λευκωσίας ανέδειξε ένα σημαντικό νομικό ζήτημα, επιβεβαιώνοντας ότι η προστασία που παρέχεται σε κρατικούς αξιωματούχους κατά την άσκηση των καθηκόντων τους δεν είναι απεριόριστη. Το Δικαστήριο έκρινε ότι το θεσμικό προνόμιο δεν μπορεί να καλύπτει ανακριβείς, υπερβολικούς ή κακόπιστους ισχυρισμούς εις βάρος ιδιωτών.

Η απόφαση αυτή υπενθυμίζει ότι η δημόσια εξουσία δεν λειτουργεί ανεξέλεγκτα και ότι η προστασία της προσωπικότητας, της φήμης και της υπόληψης κάθε πολίτη αποτελεί θεμελιώδη αρχή του δικαίου.

Το δημόσιο αξίωμα δεν αποτελεί ασπίδα αυθαιρεσίας. Αποτελεί πρωτίστως ευθύνη.

The event was organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in Cyprus, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Invest Cyprus, the Cyprus–Italy Business Association and the Italian-Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.
