Our firm is delighted to announce the promotion of Anna Latzia to the position of Partner and Head of the Corporate Law & IP Sectors.

Anna joined the firm in 2014 as an intern, at a time when the firm itself was still being built, and has since progressed through the ranks, developing a strong practice in corporate and commercial law. Following her studies in law at the University of Essex and her postgraduate studies in Corporate Governance at the University of Manchester, she completed her legal training at the firm and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2018. She then obtained a Certificate in Blockchain Law, Regulation and Policy from the University of Nicosia.

In 2018, she assumed the role of Associate, was promoted to Senior Associate in 2021, and since 2023 has been leading the firm’s Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Sectors.

Over the years, she has played a key role in advising on complex transactions, including the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of commercial and financing agreements, as well as providing strategic legal advice on both domestic and cross-border matters. She currently heads a team of legal professionals and contributes to the firm’s strategic development. She is also a member of the Tax and Legal Committee of the Cyprus Fiduciary Association (CYFA).

On 23 April 2026, members of our firm participated in the Career & Entrepreneurship Fair 2026, organised by the Career Centre of the University of Cyprus, where they presented the employment and traineeship opportunities available within the firm to prospective young professionals. We were pleased to engage with future lawyers and to discuss their professional aspirations and career paths within the legal profession.

We are happy to share that we are one of the sponsors of the team, which has been selected for the oral rounds of the Pax Moot competition. The Pax Moot is an international moot court competition focusing on Private International Law and international dispute resolution, bringing together law students from across jurisdictions to argue complex cross-border legal issues.

Emilianides & Katsaros LLC is pleased that Anna Latzia participated in the panel discussion “FDI & Omnibus: Driving Cyprus’s Competitive Edge in the EU Legal Landscape”, organised by the Legal Committee of the Cyprus International Business Association (CIBA) and presented by Ms. Michaella Pillakouri

Representing both the firm and the Cyprus Fiduciary Association (CYFA), Ms. Latzia joined fellow panelists Mr. Marios Tannousis, Mr. Pantelis Christofides, and Mr. George Z. Georgiou, in a discussion moderated by the Chairman of the International Businesses Association, Mr. Vassilios Demetriades.

As noted by Ms. Latzia during the discussion, serious investors do not fear regulation, they fear uncertainty. As the EU moves towards greater harmonisation, competition increasingly shifts from who has better rules to who applies them more effectively.

In this context, Cyprus’ strength lies not in diverging from EU frameworks, but in its ability to deliver credible, efficient, and predictable implementation - reinforcing its position as a reliable gateway for international investment.
