I always wondered why there wasn’t a car wash with AC and Wi-Fi in a prime tourist destination surrounded by $10 million homes. It might sound simple, but when you choose to live in a place as breathtaking as this (with incredible beaches and unmatched natural scenery) luxury takes on a whole new meaning. And yes, to me, this is luxury: sitting comfortably in the cool air, sipping a delicious coffee while my car is cleaned, right before meeting my broker in Playas del Coco. ☕✨Entrepreneurship is all about purposeful innovation. It’s about taking an idea, making it uniquely yours, and truly understanding the needs of the community you serve.

As a real estate expert, my perspective on a place goes beyond square meters. It is about understanding its rhythm. I chose to live in Playa Negra not only for its strategic location south of Tamarindo, but for that visceral connection I felt while driving along its iconic road lined with mango trees and bougainvillea, under the gaze of a right hand wave that is, quite literally, a work of art in motion.
At times, in the pace of the market, we forget that we live in the destination the world longs to be in.

Los lugares se sienten a través de su naturaleza, su gente, su gastronomía y su arquitectura.

Richard Neutra moldeó el diseño arquitectónico modernista considerado el icono del MCM.

La primera vez que visité The Kaufmann House, me sorprendieron su diseño a simple viste sencillo pero que invitaba al desierto entrar por sus amplios ventanales. Todo tan bien pensado, tan sentido y vivido.

La manera que entrevistaba a sus clientes con amplios cuestionarios para entenderlos, me inspiraron a conectar con mis clientes desde una perspectiva de empatía y entendimiento.

Encontré en internet que después de la muerte de su dueño original en 1955, pasó por varios propietarios (incluyendo a Barry Manilow) hasta que en 1992 fue adquirida por 1.5 millones de dólares por la familia Harris, quienes la restauraron fielmente.

Aunque en 2008 una subasta de 15 millones fracasó por incumplimiento de contrato, la propiedad volvió al mercado en 2020 por 25 millones, concretando finalmente su venta más reciente en mayo de 2022 por 13.06 millones de dólares a un comprador privado.

Esto me recuerda que la arquitectura es más que una necesidad de vivienda, es arte sin importar su precio y es muchas veces infravalorada

Que bendición visitar de nuevo esta obra maestra, así sea desde la acera y que bendición valorar y entender estas cosas.

Vivir en Guanacaste. El Grito Guanacasteco. If you’ve spent any time in Costa Rica—especially in the sunny province of Guanacaste—you’ve likely heard a long, soulful, and rhythmic yell that sounds like a cross between a cowboy’s holler and a joyful song.
That is the Grito Guanacasteco. The grito (literally “shout” or “scream”) is a traditional vocal expression of joy, pride, and identity. It is the sonic soul of the Guanacastecan people (Sabaneros). While it might sound spontaneous, it actually follows a specific melodic pattern: it usually starts high, fluctuates with a series of rhythmic breaks or “yodels,” and ends with a tapering, lingering tail.
The little legend letting out that epic shout in this video is my nine-year-old son, who was clearly riding a high after a great surf session. There is honestly no better way to celebrate a day in the waves than by channeling some old-school Guanacastecan energy to let the world know you are totally stoked.
Living in Guanacaste is basically a masterclass in how to be happy. Between the perfect surf and the deep-rooted traditions, there is a constant sense of joy that is completely infectious. It is the kind of place where you cannot help but feel alive and connected to the vibrant energy around you every single day. Don’t forget to embrace the culture when you travel and enjoy the pequeños momentos!!!
