It is reported that Apple appealed to Intellecual Property Court in Beijing for judicial review of administrative decision by Beijing Intellectual Property Office. A Chinese company complained to the office in 2015 for design patent infringement (patent number is ZL201430009113.9) by Apple's Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus. IP stats of China:Trademark registrations in 2015 reached 1.98 million from 1.16 million in 2010. Patent-pledged financing reached 8.06 billion yuan($1.22 billion) in 2010 and 55.6 billion yuan in 2015.

Administrative enforcement officials handled 35,653 patent cases in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 45.8 percent.

China has made strides in the creation, use and protection of intellectual property since the country implemented its IP strategy in 2008, said Han Xiucheng, director at the State Intellectual Property Office's Intellectual Property Development and Research Center.
