We’re heading to Phoenix!

Paul Cosmovici and Anamaria Nichifor will be representing Cosmovici Intellectual Property at the INTA 2026 Leadership Meeting, taking place from November 17–20 in Phoenix, Arizona.

This year is particularly exciting as we’ll also be introducing Braendum, powered by Cosmovici Intellectual Property, an initiative designed to make trademark protection more accessible and straightforward for startups and growing businesses.

We look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and friends from the international IP community, exchanging ideas, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

🇨🇭 What makes a product truly “Swiss” today?

The meaning of “Swissness” may be entering a new phase.

A recent decision by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) concerning the use of the Swiss Cross by the footwear brand On has brought renewed attention to the role of Swiss innovation, design and engineering when manufacturing takes place abroad.

While the underlying legal framework remains unchanged, the development raises an important question: can a product’s Swiss identity increasingly lie in where it is conceived, rather than only where it is made?

The IPI and the competent authorities are still working on guidance for these new scenarios, meaning further clarification is expected on how these principles will apply in practice.

For brands, one thing is already clear: the distinction between Swiss design, Swiss innovation and Swiss production—and how these are communicated to consumers—is becoming increasingly important.

From the factory floor to intellectual DNA, the concept of “Swissness” is evolving.

The Cosmovici Intellectual Property team spent a fantastic day at the ROPEA Annual Conference!

It was an inspiring event focused on the rapid growth of Romania’s private equity and venture capital ecosystem. Great conversations around corporate governance, smart scaling strategies, and long-term partnerships between founders and investors.

Beyond the insights, it was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the business community, founders, and investors.

As the days at INTA unfolded, things got even better: the rest of our team joined us in London!

There’s something truly special about taking the "office" on the road. What started as a professional conference quickly turned into an unforgettable team-building experience. In total, 10 of us were roaming the streets of London together, and having almost the entire office there made the whole experience feel so much more meaningful.

Even though some of us could only stay for a short time, we made every second count. We traded our desks for London’s vibrant energy, hitting up some incredible parties and navigating the city as a pack. 🥂

Between the high-level IP discussions and the laughter shared over a late-night dinner, being together in this setting was a first for us. Sharing the "London magic",the long walks, the sunny afternoons, and the industry buzz, with the people you work with every day is a different kind of inspiration.

It wasn't just about the networking this time; it was about us. Grateful for this amazing crew and the memories we built together at INTA 2026!
