Important update for B1/B2 visa holders: The administration is reportedly planning to revoke approximately 200,000 visas issued to people who entered the U.S. on tourist, visitor, or business visitor visas.

But there is a legal process for visa revocation. The State Department’s Foreign Affairs Manual includes rules that must be followed, including notification requirements.

If you receive a visa revocation, it’s important to understand what happened and whether the proper procedures were followed.

The Department of Justice is prosecuting certain cases of illegal entry and illegal re-entry as criminal offenses.

In Arizona, 253 people were charged, including cases involving illegal entry, alien smuggling, and illegal re-entry after removal.

Major immigration update: A federal judge in New York has invalidated the 75-country visa ban, finding that the Secretary of State exceeded his authority and that consular officers must conduct individualized assessments.
