For ALL survivors of SEXUAL ABUSE, male, female, trans, your family, friends and other loved ones,
This notice applies to everyone as sexual abuse does not discriminate, as it were.
I want to share with you a change in the law in the State of New York that finally helps to even out the playing field in favor of the innocent victims.
For the first time, and for only one year, I will be able to go after the institutions, schools, camps, doctors, clergy, churches, synagogues, etc and all other institutions no matter how long ago the sexual abuse, r**e or other touching, both physical and emotional, and I repeat, no matter how long ago it was.
The new law has what is known as a 'look back' period, so ALL survivors may have the chance to finally have their say, under the protection of the law.
When I first found out about this, I knew how important this was for LGBT and all youth who have been silenced too long. Now we have the change to do something about it.
