Finance Minister formally launches facility for instant allotment of PAN through Aadhaar

The Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman formally has launched the facility for instant allotment of PAN on May 28, 2020. The facility is available for those PAN applicants who possess a valid Aadhaar number and have a mobile number registered with Aadhaar. The allotment process is paperless and an electronic PAN (e-PAN) is issued to the applicants free of cost. Earlier, its ‘Beta version’ was started on e-filing website on 12 Feb 2020 on trial basis by the Dept.

IRDAI directs insurers to assist organisations in providing mandatory health insurance to workers

IRDAI directs insurers to assist organisations in providing mandatory health insurance coverage to workers as part of the National Directives of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) vide Order No. 40-3/2020-DM-I (A) dated April 15, 2020. As per the order, all industrial and commercial establishments, work places, offices etc. shall put in place arrangements for implementation of Standard Operating Procedure for social distancing and medical insurance for the workers.
