🇨🇦 British Columbia Raises Minimum Wage to $18.25 per Hour
Good news for workers in British Columbia! As of June 1, 2026, the province’s general minimum wage has increased from $17.85 to $18.25 per hour. The 2.1% increase is tied to inflation and is designed to help workers keep up with rising living costs. The change also applies to several specialized wage categories, including resident caretakers, live-in home-support workers, camp leaders, and app-based delivery and ride-hailing workers.
British Columbia continues to maintain one of the highest minimum wages in Canada, providing greater financial support to thousands of workers across the province.
